Hansel & Gretel Early Learning Center is looking for a Center Floating Teacher who can help substitute for and assist staff to create a fun environment and incorporate educational programs that assist in our children’s development. Center Floating Teachers will be responsible for supervising, monitoring and teaching the children in our program, developing activities that the children will respond to positively and partnering with our team to enhance the learning environment at our school.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate person to join our team. Your role will involve engaging in/creating developmentally appropriate educational activities, promoting social development, and ensuring the well-being of each child under your care while contributing to our team's goal of providing top quality child care and education.
All candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma. Candidates also need to have at least 2 years of experience in the child care field and supervising groups of children. Candidates must have good communication skills (written and verbal)
Minimum Requirements:
Current background clearances and health appraisal are a MUST!!!
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday 8:00 - 5:00; (Part-time is also available from 11:00 - 5:00).

Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Create and implement age-appropriate activities to promote cognitive, physical, and social development to accompany the daily plan for the classroom
- Provide basic care needs such as feeding, toileting/diapering, and maintaining cleanliness
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere
- Collaborate with other childcare providers to create a cohesive team environment
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of children at all times
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and daily activities
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting or similar environment
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with child care or preschool curriculum is preferred
- Ability to educate and engage children through age-appropriate activities
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and discipline
- Experience working with students with special education needs is a plus
- Excellent caregiving skills with the ability to provide emotional support to children
- Effective communication skills to interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
