SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $85,000

JOB STATUS: Full Time

GENERAL: Hannah Solar Government Services (HSGS) is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business specializing in the project development, design, installation, and maintenance of commercial and utility scale solar energy systems for government, commercial, and utility clients. HSGS builds & maintains solar systems all over the US as well as overseas.

WORK DAYS/HOURS:

The company office hours are 8:30 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday. The work location is Summerville, SC.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Controller will be responsible for managing Hannah Solar Government Service’s financial activities. These duties include, but are not limited to:

· Overseeing daily accounting functions including but not limited to:

o Payroll

o Accounts Payable

o Accounts Receivable

o Work in Progress report

· Complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles

· Preparing internal and external financial statements

· Coordinating the annual financial audit

· Presenting financials to CEO, banking, and bonding companies

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or CPA preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

5 years’ experience as a Controller or Accountant. Experience working in a business office/setting is required. Experience working in the construction industry is preferred but not required.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EQUIPMENT & OTHER:
Individual must be detail orientated, have the ability to take initiative and perform duties with little or no direction. Basic ability to understand documents, define problems and draw valid conclusions. English language skills required. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Professional and Dropbox required. Excellent social skills.

CITIZENSHIP:
Proof of United States Citizenship required.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Must be able to gain and maintain a US Government security clearance. This includes successful completion of recurring drug testing. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and US Passport.

US MILITARY EXPERIENCE:
Successful US Military experience is preferred but not required.
