Hanlon’s Tire Service is an independent, family-owned automotive shop specializing in the sale and installation of new and used tires as well as wheel alignments. We also carry-out basic automotive maintenance and repair. We are looking to fill the position of Automotive Service Advisor, who, in working together with the store manager, is responsible for the entire customer service experience from vehicle drop-off to vehicle pick-up. We are seeking an energetic individual with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in the automotive industry in a counter sales or estimator position. This is a full time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and engage customers in person and over the phone in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedule appointments to maximize and maintain efficient shop workflow.
• Dispatch and assign jobs to mechanics.
• Work with shop mechanics to determine and prioritize recommended vehicle repairs.
• Prepare and communicate accurate estimates to customers for recommended service/repair of their vehicle.
• Drive sales for the store by selling recommended automotive services.
• Contact customer to explain any changes to estimated costs and completion time.
• Research and order parts needed for repairs & inventory.
• Maintain shop's reputation for friendly service, utmost integrity, and quality workmanship.

• QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic automotive knowledge in order to effectively explain and sell needed repairs.
• Previous experience as vehicle service advisor is a plus
• Computer proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean & professional appearance.
• Ability to work retail hours.
• Ability to maintain composure while under stress.
• Ability to lift objects up to 60 lbs.

SALARY

• Starting at $70,000 /year… determined based on qualifications, skill, and experience
