We are seeking a Desktop Systems Specialist II, you will have the ability to utilize your exceptional customer service skills and keen interest in IT to configure, troubleshoot, repair or resolve issues related to hardware, software, business applications and networking in our Windows environment. In this fast-paced role, providing excellent service and being able to prioritize and manage competing priorities in a timely manner will be the keys to your success! Our goal is to resolve problems in a timely manner or escalate on behalf of our customers to the appropriate technical team member. You will provide incident, task, and project status updates to management and end-users allowing us to support and maintain effective relationships with all those we serve. You will additionally have the opportunity to collaborate on the development, documentation, and implementation of processes and knowledge base articles relating to IT support.

Your Impact

  • Troubleshoot, install, configure, repair, deploy and/or maintain workstations, phones, printers, wireless devices, and any network and communication equipment.
  • Participate in the testing and evaluation of new hardware and software.
  • Execute white glove onsite and remote user computer hardware, software and peripheral setups, installations, and configurations.
  • Provide back up support for Service Desk and Systems Engineer.
  • Maintain active directory and database updates.
  • Contribute positively to our customer service, incident, and request service level agreements. This includes being able to shift focus to high priority escalations.
  • Initiate escalation and facilitate resolution of technical issues with IT teams.
  • Contribute and document support knowledge articles and/or business reference material.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for key business projects.
  • Coordinate with more experienced technicians to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Commit to individual goals by completing ongoing training and development.
  • Perform responsibilities within established SOX, Security, and Asset management compliance criteria.
  • Create a positive and professional work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma with at least 4 years’ hands on experience troubleshooting, configuring and installing hardware and software.
  • Strong knowledge working with conference room audio visual.
  • Ability to critically evaluate, troubleshoot, and document issues.
  • Must be able to travel out-of-state on occasion for special projects.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with analog lines, VOIP, 0365, desk phone and mobile device hardware.
  • Knowledge using mobile device platforms, such as InTune, MobileIron, Apple Business Manager, and Knox.
  • Imaging and deployment experience using SCCM.
  • A Certified
