Join the Hanalei Spirits Team! The Distillers Assistant (DA) assists in all production components of distilled spirits produced at Hanalei Spirits Distilling Company. The DA performs daily tasks as requested by management, including but not limited to: product development, product production, recordkeeping, equipment maintenance/cleaning, inventory management, and product packaging.

Experience: Distilled spirits or beer manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)

Job Role Responsibilities

• Production of all products, mash, fermentation, distillation, barreling, aging, bottling, and packaging
• Assist in the maintenance/sanitation of the Distillery and equipment to protect the assets
• Assist in managing ingredient inventories, ordering, and quality
• Assist in completing all distilled spirits record keeping both federal and state for taxation and warehousing
• Aid with a few on and off-premise special events as needed

Job Qualifications (not mandatory but has an interest and eager to learn)

• Requires knowledge of distilled spirits and/or beer manufacturing procedures. This includes fermentation, distilling, barreling, bottling, reporting, and aging.
• Able to understand and apply basic mathematical skills in order to proof spirits
• Computer skills, to include Excel, Word, Google Docs
• Able to read, write and speak basic English.
• Experience manufacturing distilled spirits, beer or other products
• Knowledge of machinery such as Forklift, Bobcat, etc.
• Interested in learning new skills and chip-in when tasks need to get done.
• Good attitude and work ethic
