Hampton Inn Pittsburgh Greentree is Hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector Near Pittsburgh, PA

  • Provides support to the Housekeeping Manager in all areas of Housekeeping operation, such as staff training, coaching, and also enforces to the hotel's standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all meeting room functions are properly setup according to the requests indicated on the all in one sheet.
  • Ensures guest rooms are properly secured and that proper key control procedures are adhered to by the housekeeping staff.
  • Advises MOD, desk clerk, & admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy.
  • Must be able think out the box to meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Exudes a professional and positive attitude at all times especially in front of guests.
  • Print all housekeeping related reports and traces from PMS.
  • Assists in controlling expenses by the housekeeping department.
  • Confirm all housekeeping staff members have arrived or find substitutes for absent employees.
  • Maintain high quality of housekeeping standards in: 1) the guest rooms 2) linens and uniforms 3) lost and found procedures 4) laundry and 5) public areas.
  • Co-ordinate with vendors: Pest control, Equipment vendors and other outsource services.
  • Attend to any guest complaints and take service recovery measures if required.
  • Review the housekeeping points on the guest feedback forms, take actions on guest complaints and also share guest compliments with staff members.
  • Assist in labor and attendance SOP policies.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to clean rooms as needed.
  • Provide support to laundry and public spaces attendants as needed.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures.
  • Ability to complete applicable housekeeping forms and to communicate any problems and/or unusual conditions to management.
  • Ability to read and comprehend manuals.
  • Ability to positively communicate with guests and co-workers.
  • Ability to work within scheduling guidelines.
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
  • Ability to follow schedule and ability to perform physical labor
  • Ability to read and understand chemical labels, and Safety Data Sheets, Instructions
  • Must have prior Hotel and/or relevant supervisory experience.
  • Must have good computer skills and be confident navigating the PMS system
  • Ability to work with people from different backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Follow assigned daily, weekly and monthly checklist.

"Please note: Scheduling is based off of hotel business. Hours worked are directly affected by Hotel occupancy."

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
