Hampton Inn Miami-Airport West, one of Vista Property Management’s portfolio of hotels, is looking for local candidates to fill an Operations Manager position with prior Hotel Food & Beverage management, Front Desk/Bell Service management as well as prior Hotel Housekeeping experience to perform duties in the Food and Beverage, Front Desk and Housekeeping Department and support other operations of the hotel. The Operations Manager position is required to possess exemplary hotel knowledge, interpersonal skills, and discipline-specific technical expertise. Those with determination and a desire to face unique and challenging projects will flourish in this role.
The Operations Manager is expected to lead, supervise, and direct these department operations of the hotel. They are responsible for promoting, strengthening, and reinforcing the respective company culture through all employee and customer interactions and deliver an excellent Guest experience while training staff and working within budgeted guidelines.
What will I be doing?
As an Operations Manager, you are responsible for managing operations of all hotel resort operations for Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Engineering and Guest Service.
· Enhances company posture on EEO/ADA by making good faith effort to recruit, select, develop and retain protected class employees.
· Coordinate with all departments to review occupancy levels and staff labor accordingly.
· Evaluates safe work practices in job performance reviews.
· Maintains the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and the appearance of Housekeeping areas, and performs regular inspections of resident areas and rooms for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
· Performs regular inspections of resident, ancillary, and common areas for sanitation, order, safety, and comfortable environment.
· Assures that Housekeeping staff follows established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times.
· Maintain a room history journal-detailing inventory, major maintenance and repairs, renovations and general cleaning.
· Inspects storage rooms, utility and janitorial closet, etc., for upkeep and supply control.
· Requisitions all Housekeeping supplies and equipment and maintains adequate inventory levels to provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

EDUCATION:
· 2 years in the Rooms, Food and Beverage and/or hospitality studies.
EXPERIENCE:
Prefer experience in hospitality.
