Pay: $10.85 an hour tips

During the summer months, the club also offers outdoor food and beverage service.

Job purpose

To deliver exceptional food and beverage service in an outdoor setting to members and guests. Daily job assignment may be Pool Server or Pool Bartender..

Duties and responsibilities

• Sets up work area and performs designated side work.
• Provides prompt attention to all members and guests upon greeting.
• Takes members and guests orders; suggestively sells food and beverage items, if appropriate.
• Places orders with kitchen, informs cooks about any special cooking instructions.
• Efficiently serves food and beverage in friendly and courteous manner, answers questions.
• Checks back to ensure member and guest satisfaction.
• Removes soiled dishes.
• Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips and other charges on checks.
• Presents the bill.
• Handles all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
• Keeps work area clean.
• Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
• Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the Clubhouse Manager.
• Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
• Consistently follows local and state laws and the club?s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous server experience required
• Excellent oral communication and listening skills
• Ability to follow directions
• Excellent customer service skills
