Northland Country Club, a private golf and country club located in Duluth, MN., is seeking Pool Hosts to join our F&B team!

Pay: $14 - $16 an hour tips

Full-time and part-time seasonal positions available

Northland Country Club is a private Golf and Country Club located in beautiful Duluth, MN The club features an 18-hole, par 71 golf course, tennis courts, heated outdoor pool, year-round casual and fine dining, and banquet services. During the summer months, the club also offers outdoor food and beverage service.

Job purpose

Greets and welcomes all members and their guests in a pleasant and professional manner and escorts them to their table or chaise lounge.

Duties and responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly and warmly.
• Anticipates business levels and performs accordingly.
• Ensure the Fron-of-House looks presentable for the member.
• Promote the Club’s restaurants, wines, tasting room, wine club; know about upcoming events on property.
• Describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to members and guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions to drive sales.
• Always set the example of excellence in standards to other staff.
• Attends pre-meal meetings as requested.
• Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
• Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
• Performs clean-up and closing duties.
• Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by Outlet Supervisor or Clubhouse Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous host/hostess or server experience required
• Excellent oral communication and listening skills
• Ability to follow directions
• Excellent customer service skills
