Hampden and Franklin County Cardiovascular Associates is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Springfield, MA

Hampden & Franklin County Cardiovascular Associates is a growing cardiology group serving Western Massachusetts with locations in Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield and Greenfield. We have over 90 employees working over the different locations. Our practice is affiliated with Baystate and Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

We currently have an opening for a Medical Receptionist in our Springfield office. Position is full time and benefits eligible.

Job Functions

  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Displays respectful and caring attitude towards patients at all times
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary changes
  • Check in/out patients and schedule appointments.
  • Obtain prior-authorizations and referrals
  • Answer in-coming calls and check voice messages regularly
  • Function at the highest level of customer service, compassion and professionalism to internal and external patients and customers
  • Input accurate patient information into electronic health record
  • Other tasks as needed by Providers and Manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of experience preferred
  • Must have previous experience with EMR systems
  • Experience preferred with patient scheduling; eCW, EPIC a plus
  • Must have advanced knowledge of and strict adherence to HIPAA, and general appropriate conduct governing patient confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
