Hotel Food & Beverage experience is preferred. Catering experience is preferred also. Position requires flexible availability. Food & Beverage Manager is required to cover hourly shifts on occasion. Paid training and uniforms provided. ServSafe Certification is required. Tips, gratuities and commissions are available also. Please review information below and apply through Indeed if you meet all qualifications/ requirements.The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing all Food and Beverage activities and ensuring the hotel displays a high level of quality in the food and beverage area, effectively promoting the space, managing associates, and monitoring the performance of the department through analysis of guest feedback and financial reports.1. Tasks* Inspects food and beverage area daily to ensure high quality food and presentation and follows up that all cleaning and side work duties have been completed.*Monitors performance of the Bistro through analysis of guest feedback and financial reports.*Responsible for effective food and liquor inventory controls and placement.*Responsible for Food and Beverage cost controls and profitability.*Oversees department and supervises employees in back of house operations, including but not limited to servers, bartenders and cooks.*Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and termination in the respective department.*Conducts monthly department meetings to review new procedures and solicit input from all employees.*Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner. Follows up with guest concerns to ensure service recovery and guest satisfaction.*Assigns duties to employees and subordinates and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel and franchise policies and established operating procedures.*Actively participates in sales discussions, meetings and plans. Knows key account executives and business base. Knows monthly production levels for each sales person on staff.*Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to employees.*Be familiar and ready to answer all questions about cooking methods, allergen information, menu items, specials and prices of all items.*Be familiar with hotel facilities, their hours and location and be ready to provide information to guests as needed.*Ensure all work areas are sanitized and neatly working with all-purpose cleaners.*Complete appropriate paperwork such as: production charts, freezer pull forms, opening transition, closing checklists and inventory par lists.2. Compliance and Training*Completes all company and Brand required training.*May perform other duties, as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*High school diploma desired.*Dependable work background.*Food handling and/or additional permits as required by state or local law.PREFERRED SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS:*Must be mature, neat in appearance, courteous, and friendly.*Ability to effectively communicate.*Ability to work varied number of hours per week on a rotating basis.*Must be in uniform and wearing nametag at all times.*Must display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance.*Must be able to learn and comprehend all company policies pertaining to his or her position and employment.*Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, carry, or push (up to 75 lbs.), lift (up to 50 lbs.), see (for dirt or stains), hear (for security purposes), climb stairs or ladders, and have manual dexterity.Job Type: Full-timeExperience:Food & Beverage: 1 year (Required) Additional Compensation:TipsGratuitiesBonusesStore Discounts Work Location:One location Benefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceRetirement planPaid time off This Job Is:A job for which military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
