Hamilton Connections is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Specialist for a Middletown based food production / manufacturing company.

1st shift

Temp to Hire

Pay $18 / hr or more depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

Accomplish strategic objectives by overseeing and performing multiple project activities in achieving Optimal Quality Assurance

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Manage daily quality control programs to ensure proper recording and verification.
  • Develop processes to control quality of work-in-process
  • Oversee corrective actions identified regarding quality control.
  • Conduct meetings with production managers and other staff to review and correct issues relevant to quality, including written

replies to issues.

  • Assist in research and development with batch trial run tests
  • Conduct QC Daily Operational Verification of all processing areas to ensure proper Operating Procedures and Good

Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) are being followed. Implement corrective actions immediately which can include stopping

production.

  • Assist in internal and third-party audits
  • Perform and document quality evaluations of incoming, raw materials against the Production Specification Sheets.
  • Review technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in the industry.
  • Participate in Safe Quality Foods program
  • Initiate investigation and resolve quality related complaints
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive filling system and computer database for all food quality assurance documents like lot

codes, wastes, yields.

  • Serve as a member on the Safety Committee.
  • Good attendance and reporting to work on-time is required to do this job satisfactorily.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner. Report all safety hazards to management so that corrective action can be taken

immediately.
