Summary/Objective

Estimating

Estimate various projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.Create budgets and field details/plans for projects. Maintains communication with the customer, superintendents and foreman. Create and maintain business relationships with new and existing customers. Ability to produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Professional representation of self and HALL Contracting.
• Follow up with clients to review proposals/estimates and negotiate/resolve complications that may stand in the way of an award.
• Develop preliminary construction schedules based on project information
• Proficient communication skills via email, phone and face to face.
• Be active in local business associations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Identify quality scope of construction work
• Identify construction issues through the estimating process
• Ability to read plans and specifications in order to understand the project at hand.
• Travel to sites and other venues necessary to complete the estimate
• Analyze and evaluate supplier’s and subcontractor’s proposals.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors. ​
• Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
• Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
• Ability to communicate plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.
• Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.
• Ability to work independently, while demonstrating flexibility and willingness to work collaboratively with other team members and support staff.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position. Hours of work vary based on project needs.

Travel
Local travel is required for this position.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Construction Management preferred. Qualified candidates are required to have 2 years of Estimating construction projects. A proven track record of business to business sales is preferred.

Must have no felonies that are violent in nature and/or theft related in the last 7 years.
