SUMMARY

 Night Shift Hours: 7pm-7am 

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.

2.Initiates or assists in-hospital codes and CPR as required.

3.Administers medication as ordered by Physician.

4.Collaborates with other health care providers and provides education to patients and/or families (while in compliance with HIPAA).

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Responsible for attending staff meetings as evidenced by 70% attendance to ensure that necessary information is received.

2.Attends in-services and mandatory meetings.

3.Adheres to the dress code, attendance, and all other company policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1.Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

2.Current RN licensure for the State of Alabama.

3.Current CPR certification.

4.Proficient oral and written communication skills.

5.One year of experience as an RN in a hospital setting is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1.May be exposed to the risk of communicable diseases and radiation.

2.May require handling of unclean or infectious materials.

3.Normally works in a well-lighted, well-ventilated area.

4.Must be able to work under the stress and conditions that normally exist in a hospital setting.

5.Classification Category I – Tasks that involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
