Haggerty's Music is a family owned music store with it's main branch in Rapid City, SD. As one of the largest guitar stores in the United States, Haggerty's Music's aim is to offer a world-class experience to musicians of all kinds, from beginner to advanced, in-person and online.
With 29 employees, and a full repair department and Audio Visual team, Haggerty's Music offers everything from rentals and support for begining students, to full sound design and installation in schools, churches, and venues.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales while ensuring the smooth functioning of the store. Ideal candiate will be a multi-instrumentalist, with experience in guitar and piano.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage and supervise all store staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Drive sales by developing strategies to meet or exceed sales goals
- Handle customer inquiries and issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Monitor and analyze market trends to optimize store performance
- Conduct shift management duties, including opening and closing procedures
- Utilize POS systems for transactions and reporting
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a related field
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building lasting relationships with customers
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and basic accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional conduct in a retail setting
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
