Responsibilities:

• Oversees the day-to-day operation of VoIP environment including hardware/software support, training, and special projects.
• Maintain existing CISCO VoIP environment.
• Utilize Cisco VoIP management software and hardware to identify and correct problems with the data communications equipment.
• Provide configuration and problem resolution support for the telephone system.
• Monitor VoIP performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
• Along with other IT staff, evaluate and implement new technologies for data communications related to voice, and video.
• Join and partially lead the global transition project to Teams (PSTN) Telephony.
• Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve complex system configuration, production and deployment problems.
• Maintain inventory records for all equipment purchased, installed or controlled under IT.
• Perform equipment, software, and firmware updates as recommended by industry and company standards.
• Research and price telecommunication services as requested by company business needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Always display outstanding and Professional service skills.
• Occasional travel to remote sites may be required from time to time.

Other special projects and duties may be assigned.
Work Hours: 8:00-5:00PM EST, occasional weekends and holidays may be needed.

Required Experience:

• Working Knowledge of Basic and advanced telephony principles and VOIP Protocols.
• Experience managing telco and carrier contracts.
• Experience in Cisco UCCX, Active Directory and Cisco Call Manager Telephony, Unity Voice Mail, Cisco IPCC Applications Cisco Unified communications Manager and Jabber Integrations experience. Overall understanding of Active Directory.
• Experience Managing Video Conference systems configured to work with MS Teams
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, document creation, briefing and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:

• An associate degree or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates with training, experience, or certification.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and other employees of the organization.

German and / or Spanish skills are a plus.
