Position: Assistant ReStore Manager

Reports to: ReStore Manager

Description: This position assists the Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester Ashland ReStore Manager in achieving operational, financial, administrative and customer service goals.

What does Habitat for Humanity do? It is our mission to build homes, community, and hope for local families. What is a ReStore? The ReStore is a retail store that sells donated new and used building products, wood furniture, appliances, and home goods to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s affordable home building efforts in the MetroWest/Greater Worcester area. The ReStore is open to the public.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the store in the absence of the ReStore Manager.
• Provide the highest level of customer service while always seeking to understand the customer and donor needs.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Daily cash drawer reconciliation and deposits.
• Familiar with social media platforms and the ability to maintain such platforms.
• Oversee the display and organization of showroom sales areas.
• Assist with donation screening.
• Achieve excellent customer, donor, and volunteer ratings.
• Assist in training new hires as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have the willingness to learn other programs as needed.
• Initiative-taking, dependable, and enthusiastic.
• Enjoys collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Be empathetic to customers, donors, volunteers, and staff while providing excellent service.
• Ability to manage and defuse challenging situations with tact. Excellent communication and conflict resolutions skills.
• Commitment to the safe working environment.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Ability to lift fifty pounds.

Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of retail sales and leadership experience.
