Are you ready to join us?

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with plans production and minor design tasks under the direction of an engineer for transportation projects for TxDOT and other municipal/county clients.

  • Produce plan sheets and project 3D modeling from preliminary to final design.

  • Assist in the development of plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.

  • Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, departments, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.

  • Maintain project documentation.

  • Deliver project tasks on time and on budget.

  • Learn and utilize typical design software packages.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • CADD Certification a plus.

  • Experience in CADD design/modeling (Microstation, OpenRoads Designer) is a plus.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stoop, crawl, and lifting. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 20 pounds. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
