Come Join the Winning Team! Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Estimators to work out of one of our offices in Waggaman, LA and Donora, PA location. Estimators prepare bid proposals for customers using cost estimates and price structures. Will also perform technical and commercial evaluations of customer requirements, interpret blueprints and capable of estimating technical designs. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, reviews design drawings and recommend adjustments as necessary.Presents quotations to clients based upon their technical and commercial requirements; to an accurate professional standard.Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.Use of pipe support selection software, and Microsoft Excel.Keep work area clean and orderly.Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment.Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pmIdeal Candidate:Previous experience with pipe supports, pipe support take offs, and/or wastewater projects a plusBachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an similar background with experience in estimating engineered pipe supports, or experience in estimating wastewater projects, take-offs. Or a CAD Drafter with experience in the pipe support fieldOr a combination of experience and education. Proficient in basic math skills including: computation, fractions, percentages, basic measurements to include basic geometry and trigonometry. Extensive knowledge of pipe supports, pipe hanger take-offs, and other product offering related to pipe support design. Have strong computer software skills, ability to learn applications quickly.Team player mentality a must; communication, collaboration, and motivation to follow through critical. Be able to work quickly and efficiently without constant supervision. We specialize in the manufacture and distribution of a complete line of pipe hangers and supports for commercial and industrial applications since 1913. With five locations in the U.S and growing., our supports have been specified and installed on major water treatment, pharmaceutical, process piping, petro-chemical, hospitals, and school buildings as well as many other industrial projects throughout the world.
