Supervisor Network Engineering
Position Highlights:
The Supervisor, Network (Technology) Engineering, oversees and provides daily support in the execution of new design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Moffitt's systems and related technology infrastructure leveraged by Research, Business, and Clinical communities.
This position will have a focus on (but not limited to) all aspects of design, implementation, and management of the Center's LAN/WAN/WLAN, Storage/Backup, Virtualization, Server/OS, and End-User Computing architectures.
In addition to providing technical standards and root cause analysis, Technology Engineering Supervisor ensures optimal performance is maintained across Moffitt's production infrastructure, products, and services.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the supervision of Sr. System Administrators and System Administrators to ensure day to day health of the network, servers and storage associated with the data center. Including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and hardware support and maintenance.
Responsible for life cycle management of all network, systems and storage within Moffitt's infrastructure and data center environments. Responsible for capacity management for utilization of all network, compute and storage utilized by Moffitt Cancer Center.
Oversees the execution of architectural design, service delivery, deployment, and service assurance of infrastructure and cloud technologies. Works in conjunction with Technology Engineering and other IT teams on project initiatives requiring integration within Technology Services.
Implements process and management methods to produce operational excellence and best cost services. Collaborates effectively with all levels of management and staff across IT to define and deliver high quality, efficient solutions.
Credentials and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree - field of study: Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare or related field.
Associate’s Degree with an add’l two (2) years of relevant technology experience for a total of nine (9) years may be considered
High School Diploma with an add’l five (5) years of relevant technology experience for a total of twelve (12) years may be considered
Minimum of seven (7) years proficiency in a systems/infrastructure engineering and/or technical infrastructure support role in LAN/WAN/WLAN, storage, virtualization, end-user computing, and/or server/OS platform administration.
Two (2) years leadership experience as Supervisor, Team/Project Lead, Manager or above is required (may be inclusive of other experience)
Experience and demonstrated proficiency of at least two but not limited to the following:
Managing SAN and NAS Specializing in EMC environments.
Managing Backup, Archive, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Systems engineering with Microsoft, Unix, Linux, and Cisco (IOS) operating systems.
Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory group policies, and desktop (end user computing ) engineering.
Virtualization platforms such as VMware and Microsoft.
