H.J. Russell & Company is Hiring an Intern - Business & DEI Near Atlanta, GA

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Business/DEI Intern to assist our DEI and business management teams. This internship is designed for students who are pursuing a degree in Business with a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The intern will work on initiatives that promote an inclusive workplace and contribute to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of DEI strategies and programs.
  • Assist in conducting research and analysis on market trends focusing on DEI practices.
  • Help organize and coordinate DEI events and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with HR to assess company policies and ensure they reflect our DEI commitments.
  • Work alongside senior leadership to integrate DEI practices into business strategies and operations.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program for Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, with a focus on DEI.
  • Strong interest in and understanding of DEI principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of conducting business-related research.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to analyze and solve problems, apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
