What will I be doing?
üThe Loan Coordinator packages, processes, underwrites, and services loans in the H-GALDC portfolio.
üPerforms intermediate-level underwriting and credit risk analysis for individual loans and the loan portfolio. The coordinator examines loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and validity from origination through closing and utilizes sound underwriting principles to vet loan applications and assign credit risk scores to loans.
üHelps monitor delinquent loans, performs collections activities, and prepares loan modification or liquidation plans as appropriate.
üDocuments and tracks new loans, extensions, modifications, and liquidations through each required stage, to include updating hard copy files, electronic records, and information maintained in tracking systems.
üIdentifies, requests, and monitors all required documents from lenders and business owners and ensures all documents are up to date and in compliance with regulatory policies, H-GAC procedures, and the terms and conditions of the loan.
üPerforms critical administrative functions, such as processing collateral filings and extensions; resolving rejected payment issues; calculating pre-payment penalties; preparing loan release paperwork, and general tracking and reporting, to name a few.
üAnswers customer questions regarding loans, payments, balances, insurance requirements, and account changes and updates.
Key Qualifications
üExperience in accounting, commercial lending, underwriting, servicing, and/ or processing loans.
üKnowledge of underwriting principles, loan process management, and working with loans at risk.
üAbility to read and understand various financial documents such as credit reports, tax returns, balance sheets, insurance documents, and bank statements.
üProficient in Microsoft Office software applications and loan tracking and servicing systems.
Do you have…
üBachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study.
ü3 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, schools, or in job-related duties.
Preferred Qualifications
üBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field of study.
ü5 years of experience in accounting, commercial lending, underwriting, servicing, and/ or processing loans.
