The Healthcare Career Advancement Program (H-CAP) is a national Labor/Management organization that supports and promotes career ladder education for the healthcare workforce. H-CAP also staffs an affiliated 501 (c) (3) organization, the H-CAP Education Association (EA), focused on program and staff development of labor/management and union-based training partnerships in healthcare workforce development
H-CAP is seeking a full-time Communications Specialist to assist with building a communications program to support the organization’s work in the areas of workforce development, equity in the healthcare workforce, and Registered Apprenticeship. The Communications Specialist will work remotely with potential travel to meetings and conferences. The Communications Specialist is responsible for managing the organizations’ communications, keeping the organizations’ infrastructure running smoothly and spotting opportunities for new owned (social media, website, email) and earned (press) media content. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for monitoring activities organization-wide and ensure a coherent communications strategy.
The position is fully remote. The Communications Specialist must provide a place to work with minimal interruption. H-CAP provides laptop and all necessary equipment and supplies.
