GVM is Hiring a Parts Sales Representative Near Bellevue, OH

Executive Summary
The Parts Sales Representative is responsible for providing superior customer service by phone or in person in accordance with identified customer needs and availability of parts in order to make a profit for GVM Inc. In addition to their team, this individual shares an overall responsibility for all activities relating to the sales and customer relationship management processes. This individual will be required to gain a substantial knowledge of items sold. The Parts Sales Representative is an entry level position with potential for growth in a rapidly growing dealership. This position reports to the Parts Manager.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Professionally represent GVM Inc to the customer.
  • Help determine and obtain parts for customers as requested by phone or in person. Suggest the sale of related parts for full service.
  • Locate and obtain ordered part(s) for customers from appropriate warehouses.
  • Handle warranty or defective parts for customers in accordance with company procedure.
  • Write sales orders in accordance with company procedure.
  • Special order parts on an emergency basis when necessary and appropriate.
  • Process approved credits for customers when merchandise is returned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of pricing lists and structures as required by company procedure.
  • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product features.
  • Utilize non-selling, non-servicing time by studying catalogs, reviewing price sheets, bulletins, changes, additions, and deletions.
  • Ensure that counter parts area is clean and in order. Ensure that display areas encourage sales.
  • Ensure that product catalogs are current and help with annual catalog updates.
  • Must be able to develop a thorough understanding of Independent Ag Equipment’s products, capabilities, and services.
  • Calls on prospective customers and provides technical product information.
  • Understand the customer’s business and product requirements
  • Responsible for meeting assigned sales quota.
  • Provide quotations, logging activities in customer relationship management, and tracking within the sales cycle.
  • Persistently interacts with customers to identify their business needs.
  • Translates customer business needs into opportunities for growth.
  • Develops strategies for growth based on a thorough understanding of the company’s products and capabilities and the markets' needs
and opportunities.
  • Acquire new product and application knowledge and participate in new product launch trainings.
  • Travels to industry trade shows and professionally represents the Company.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

THIS POSITION WILL BE ELLIGIBLE FOR PARTS COMMISION.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Be able to multitask
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent people and communication skills.
  • A high energy level.
  • Must be a fast learner and be able to adapt “on-the-fly”.
  • Must be dependable.
