What We Are Looking For

GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of HVAC Installation Helper to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As an HVAC Installation Helper, you will be responsible for assisting with the removal and replacement of residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems. Our HVAC Helpers work in a fast-paced environment, interacting daily with our customers and in a variety of locations across the GVEC service territory and beyond.

How You’ll Help

• Assist with installation, removal and replacement of residential and light commercial HVAC systems in customer homes and businesses
• Assist service techs and installers with day-to-day tasks, including HVAC service calls and equipment start-ups
• Be safety conscious for the well-being of members, customers and employees
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Experience/Skills You’ll Need

• Maintain strong, positive relationships with employees and management staff
• Possess the desire to provide the highest quality workmanship
• Position requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly
• Strenuous work includes, but not limited to, significant standing, walking, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, and reaching as required to perform job duties
• Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Tolerate working in extreme environmental conditions
• Comfortable working at heights, using ladders and working in confined spaces
• Be willing to work flexible hours
• High School graduate or equivalent
• A valid Texas Driver License

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Bilingual capabilities

Your Pay

The pay range for this role is between $16.00-$21.00/hr. and will be commensurate based on your skills, qualifications and experience. In addition, GVEC ties cash bonuses to a multitude of Cooperative benchmarks set forth annually.
