Gus's newyork pizza is looking for a Bartender to join our team. We are a family owned and operated fine dining restaurant group in Newport News, VA. We have been in business for over 40 years and have built our group into a successful and respected restaurant group.

We are seeking a team player to work in our Bartending Department. This position is part of the Restaurant Team. The position is full time, Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm.

Duties:

• Preparing food and beverage orders for customers
• Mixing drinks
• Servicing customers at the bar
• Cleaning and sanitizing areas, including but not limited to: walk-in, dishwasher, and walk-in freezers
• Restocking items on shelves, tables, and refrigerators
• General housekeeping duties as assigned
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
• Performing opening and closing duties of the restaurant
• Closing the restaurant by closing all final orders, cleaning the premises, resetting service stations, closing out food and beverages, cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing all remaining areas of the establishment
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate with customers and management. Must be able to follow instructions. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Must be able to work in confined spaces as required.

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
