JOB SUMMARY

Build and develop a world-class canvassing team that aggressively promotes the Gunton and Pella brand in the Retail Replacement, Trade R&R, and New Construction segments, creates exceptional customer satisfaction, and consistently delivers margin, bookings, and market share growth consistent with overall Company strategy.

Ensure there is accurate follow-up on all customer requests and inquiries. Work in conjunction with Retail and Trade ASM ’s to provide adequate development opportunities for Canvassing Representatives.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

Exhibit the highest standard of personal ethics at all times and adhere to all Gunton Corporation policies.

Research neighborhoods and build execution maps for field marketing team.

Seek out and participate in local events, festivals, kiosks, and other creative ways to promote Pella products and convert leads into appointments for the sales team.

Engage with homeowners in local neighborhoods where Pella has recently completed home-improvement projects.

Schedule in-home appointments for sales representatives to meet with homeowners.

Recruit and train a team of field marketers.

Supervise and coach field marketers to ensure maximum performance.

Exceed weekly, monthly, and annual appointment goal targets.

Manage and approve payroll entries and updates.

Establish and execute an effective business development plan for your canvassing team.

Schedule and complete, at minimum, a weekly call-in or face-to-face assessment with each person on your team. Meetings to be pre-scheduled and to include a defined agenda.

Assist with managing the operations and administration of assigned Experience Centers and Showrooms.

Enforce company policies. 

Support company functions and promote initiatives that improve employee engagement. 

Handle all customer requests timely and professional.

Gain trust, respect, and buy-in from your team and other department teams through effective leadership.

Perform additional responsibilities assigned by your manager.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to Segment Manager, Area Sales Manager or Regional Manager based on the divisional structure.

PREREQUISITES

Steady Employment History.

A valid driver's license with four points or less during the last three years.

Proven Leadership skills.

Computer literate in Microsoft, and other industry applications (ability to navigate through Windows-based software).

Previous experience managing a canvassing team or department.

Previous Selling Experience

Previous canvassing experience or managing a canvassing team.

QUANTITATIVE METRICS (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reviews)

40 Hours of training annually (classroom and online).

Manage the training and developmental needs of all Canvassing Representatives.

Manage canvassing representatives to ensure all office activity conforms to our internal processes.

Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly conversions of appointments from canvassing and lead generation events.

Job Expectations:

•Scheduling in-estimate appointments for Sales Representatives to meet with homeowners

•Recruiting and training a team of field marketers

•Supervising and coaching field marketers to ensure maximum performance

•Schedule appointments for free in-home consultations

•Exceed weekly, monthly, and annual appointment goal targets

•Manage and approve payroll entries and updates

•1-2 years of supervisory experience in field marketing or outside sales

•High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

•Excellent written and verbal communication

•Ability to lead a team of field marketers

•Ability to demonstrate products and engage with potential customers

•Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours

•Clean driving record

•Ability to work standard retail hours, including evenings and weekends
