We are actively seeking an Assistant Controller for our operations in Orange County, CA. This essential role supports our financial management team by ensuring precise and efficient handling of our accounting needs, specifically within the construction sector. Responsibilities
- Financial Documentation and Control: Handle payroll, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and other accounting documents with high accuracy and compliance.
- Union Payroll Reporting: Manage union payroll reporting with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to regulations.
- Cost Analysis: Monitor and report on costs associated with construction projects and material fabrication.
- Reporting and Compliance: Assist in preparing financial reports and ensure they meet industry standards and legal requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Controller and CFO to support decision-making processes and financial strategy implementation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in construction accounting, including familiarity with union payroll and materials cost management.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles applicable to the construction industry.
- Competence in managing payroll, AP, AR, and comprehensive financial reporting.
