JOB TITLE: Director of Business Development Home Health
DEPARTMENT: Home Health
DIVISION: Gulfside Home Health
REPORTS TO: Home Health Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Home Health Administrator, the Director of Business Development Home Health is responsible for sales and marketing, intake/referral management, admissions, and community development strategy. Accountable for the overall development, strategic insight, leadership, and execution of all growth activities and achievement of GHS’s admissions growth objectives.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in business development, marketing or related field, with a proven record of leading a team in incremental growth.
  • Most possess and maintain a current Florida driver’s license.
  • Most possess and maintain automobile insurance coverage.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the overall development and strategic oversight, leadership, and execution for all admissions growth activities of the Agency.
  • Develops and oversees execution of a strategic sales and marketing plan including tactics designed to meet budgeted admission and census goals.
  • Works with executive team to set admissions goals and objectives; monitors outcomes for Business Development, including Business Development Representatives, Transition Liaisons, Clinical Liaisons, Patient Access Center, Admissions, and Community Development. Ensures implementation of tools needed for success; coaches and mentors team.
  • Meets at least weekly with each team manager.
  • Makes sales calls with business development representatives in the community.
  • Secures referral partner contracts and service agreements with key accounts.
  • Works with executive team to increase community engagement and support fundraising efforts.
  • Provides input for the development of all communications that will best describe services provided by GHS, including, but not limited to, digital marketing, agency brochures, educational brochures, advertisements and annual reports.
  • Develops and delivers presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervises all Business Development staff including but not limited to: performance evaluations, timesheets, interviewing potential staff and providing required personnel documents.
  • Identifies and advises leadership staff in regard to community related issues and implements appropriate measures.
  • Takes initiative to develop and maintain relationships within the clinical department to assure effective communication both internally and externally for our referral customers.
  • Monitors marketing activities, and communicates up-to-date information with other departments of the agency.
  • Assists in the development and management of annual budget for Business Development activities and performs monthly cost and productivity analysis; prepares monthly report for CEO and leadership team.
  • Establishes ongoing relationship with minority groups in order to inform them of hospice service and to ensure minority representation.
  • Understands that teamwork is a crucial part of our business, and is able to work well with colleagues, no matter the circumstances. Using individual skills, cooperates with others, and accepts and provides constructive feedback despite any personal conflicts between individuals involved.
  • Utilizes current Agency and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and required.
