Summary

As a Digital Graphic Designer at Gulf Coast Bank & Trust you will play a crucial role in shaping our digital presence and brand identity across various platforms. 

Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to, effectively communicating and collaborating with C-Suite, Digital and Marketing Directors, and Media (Web/Social/Email) Specialists, to formulate design, campaigns, collateral, and experiences that align with team objectives. Additionally, this position requires the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities. Excellent detail and design skills are required. Remaining informed with industry best practices for both digital and print materials is advantageous. A collaborative mindset is key to the position’s success. 

Print to digital ratio – 60/40

Responsibilities

• Develop original and visually compelling designs for the bank’s ads, flyers, emails, website, social media, digital banking platform, and digital marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging concepts and visuals that communicate key messages effectively.
• Translate complex financial concepts into visually appealing infographics and illustrations.
• Ensure consistency in brand representation across all channels.
• Stay up to date on design trends and best practices.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and deliver high-quality graphics.
• Assist in design and managing design files across all media to be delivered.
• Adjusts technical/mechanical design features as well as photo retouching/image manipulation tasks that relate to any design needs.
• Researches, identifies, and stays informed with current trends and innovations in the Financial Services, Design, and social media.

Requirements

Skills/Experience/Education

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design or related field of study.
• 2 years of proven experience as a Digital Graphic Designer in an advertising agency or in-house marketing team. Financial Services experience preferred.
• Proficiency in graphic design software tools - Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD).
• Knowledge of mechanical file specifications and familiarity with all file formats and file conversion.
• Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript is a plus.
• Good understanding of print and digital production practices.
• Understanding of branding principles and the ability to align designs with the bank’s brand guidelines.
• Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in their work.
• Become a dependable resource for Directors and Team Members to deliver timely and effective solutions.
• Passionate of the entire design process from ideation to creation.
• Team player with a strong sense of personal accountability.

Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. 
• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
• Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
