GuideStar Eldercare is Hiring a Medical Assistant - Quality Near Gary, IN

The Medical Assistant - Quality will play a pivotal role in ensuring that GSE healthcare services meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position will involve collaborating with healthcare providers, staff members, and administrative personnel to implement quality improvement initiatives and uphold regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate clinical processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure adherence to established standards of care.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant systems for data collection and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and indicators to measure the effectiveness of healthcare delivery and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies related to healthcare quality and patient safety.
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, reducing medical errors, and optimizing healthcare delivery processes.
  • Provide training and education to healthcare providers and staff members on quality improvement methodologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with patients and their families to promote patient-centered care and incorporate patient feedback into quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, administrators, and quality improvement specialists, to promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of quality improvement activities, outcomes, and interventions

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare quality improvement principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong excel knowledge.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare information systems preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and proficiency in documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting compliance in healthcare practices.
  • Abletopassbackgroundtesting,includingmotorvehiclerecordreviewanddrugscreening.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Active auto insurance policy
  • Must have reliable transportation.
