Guidehouse has an opportunity for an experienced Windows Virtualization Engineer to join our team in Reston, VA. In this role you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing Windows virtual machines within the Intelligence Community (IC). Responsibilities include: * Design, implement, and manage Windows virtual machines in a lab environment,
* Participate in the planning of infrastructure on-site in VMWare, but potentially in the cloud, suggesting strategies based on new and emerging technologies,
* Install, configure, and secure Internet Information Services on Windows servers,
* Take ownership of issues, collaborating with other teams and leads to resolve issues in a timely manner,
* May perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-side/client-side issues as they arise,
* Document system configurations, processes, and procedures, as well as maintain and update existing documentation as needed,
* Mentor other team members in Linux best practices, providing guidance and support when necessary. What You Will Need : * CURRENT and ACTIVE TOP SECRET / SCI federal security Clearance; MUST obtain and maintain a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph
* TWELVE (12) or more years of experience in Microsoft Windows Server Environments
* Bachelor's Degree
* Current DoD 8570 IAT III level certification (i.e. CISSP, CISA, CASP etc..) or the ability to acquire one within a 6-month grace period
* Experience installing, configuring, and securing IIS on Windows Servers
* E xperience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V,
* E xperience in PowerShell scripting or other Windows automation tools What Would Be Nice To Have : * CURRENT and ACTIVE Top Secret (TS) / SCI Clearance with COUNTER INTELLIGENCE (CI) Polygraph
* C ertifications relevant to Windows or cloud computing technologies
* Knowledge and experience with Windows virtual machines in a VMWare environment
* Knowledge and experience with automating Windows installations
* E xperience operating in a team environment, collaborating in Agile practices, and operating in Sprints or following Scrum/Kanban management processes.
