We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant proficient in QuickBooks to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing required journal entries, maintaining accurate financial records, and generating financial reports. This role requires accounting knowledge, proficiency in QuickBooks, and the ability to produce accurate and timely financial reports.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Prepare and post record required journal entries to record business activity including intercompany transactions accurately. Reconcile accounts including the proper elimination of intercompany balances during consolidation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses for management review and decision-making.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and posting adjusting journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial close activities in accordance with established deadlines.
  • Assist in providing documentation and support for internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and assist in implementing audit recommendation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and accounting operations. Develop and implement best practices and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in accounting or finance role; focus on financial reporting and journal entries.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

COMPENSATION 

Guidehealth’s compensation structure includes more than just base salary. We believe in providing world-class benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, long and short-term disability, life insurance, and a 401k plan with a generous match. Our paid time off program includes paid holidays and flexible time that focuses on meeting the demands of the position and our clients, while providing the balance that our employees need. 

The base pay range for this role is between $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year, paid bi-weekly per our standard payroll practices. Final base pay decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
