Job Overview: We are looking for a versatile IT professional who can seamlessly bridge the gap between IT support and network administration. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our IT systems and network infrastructure, providing top-notch technical support to our employees, and implementing and maintaining network security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Assist employees with setup and configuration of computers, mobile devices, and software applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain software applications and operating systems.
- Respond promptly to help desk requests and escalate complex issues as necessary.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures and user guides.
- Network Administration:
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
- Perform regular network maintenance tasks, such as updates, backups, and patches.
- Troubleshoot network issues, both hardware and software, and coordinate with external vendors when necessary.
- Plan and execute network expansion or optimization projects as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of IT and network services.
- Communicate effectively with employees, providing technical guidance and solutions in a user-friendly manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in IT support and network administration roles.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices and security appliances.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network , Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are desirable.
