POSITION TITLE: Store Design Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the creation and execution of assigned Brands/Concepts in a fast-paced environment with a passion for innovative retail design. The Store Design Manager drives the creative process from direction given by Executive Management, working closely with the Senior Director of Store Design & Construction, Merchants, Licensees and Global Corporate partners to establish operational needs and develop store environments that meet capacity constraints, cost expectations, and delivers on Brand promise. Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams at many levels with outstanding project management and exceptional communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop new conceptual designs for assigned brands based on Executive Management and Sr. Director of Store Design & Construction parameters to be used in all Regions globally. Create presentation packages as needed to communicate new or revised designs for assigned brands. Partner with International Licensees, Corporate Operations and Merchant teams to ensure new designs meet corporate objectives. Continually stay abreast of retail trends and materials and present to Director for incorporation.
Manage corporate sign offs for Regional operational and Corporate Merchant and Operations teams. Gather and present changing needs of corporate partners to Sr. Director of Store Design & Construction for review and incorporation into approved concepts.
Work with key internal and external stakeholders during production of comprehensive design development packages. Develop new or revised fixture designs based on regional operational needs and present to Sr. Director of Store Design & Construction for approval.
Partner with Purchasing and Construction teams to evaluate engineer concepts as needed, review and approve fixture prototypes, and assess new store and remodel construction.
Visit job sites as needed to ensure concept standards are being met and partner with Construction Project Managers to refine details as needed.
Partner with Wholesale teams to develop Shop in Shop fixture programs for assigned Brands. Review and approve flagship shop layouts and Regional changes as needed.
Review and approve product licensee tradeshow, showroom and wholesale fixture programs to ensure Brand consistency.
Drive and create Schematic Design Packages. Archive completed drawings, red lines, and shop drawings.
Develop professional skill set through computer software (3d rendering) and management training seminars and classes.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
