Guardus Security is Hiring an Armed Security Officer Near Virginia, VA
Guardus Security is a fast growing security firm looking for staff to grow with the firm. We are currently
seeking retired/current police officers, corrections officers or experienced military team members for
Armed Security Officer two positions. If you have a strong background in law enforcement, corrections
officer or military experience and possess excellent conflict management skills, we encourage you to
apply.
Duties:
- Provide armed security services through deterance, de-escalation, observation and reporting
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity
- Monitor surveillance cameras and respond to any suspicious activity
- Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering the premises
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, contact local first responders and provide assistance as
needed
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in law enforcement, corrections or military
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV monitoring is a plus
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and
professionally via de-escalation methods
- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid DCJS ARMED CERTIFICATION or willingness to gain asap
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
