We are a Behavioral Health group specializing in substance use disorder and co-occurring issues. Our facility strives to provide the highest quality of care, using evidence-based treatment, medical staff, and licensed therapists. Our mission is to help those that are struggling with the tools to recover, regain control and live healthy, happy lives without the burden of substance abuse.

We are currently seeking an experienced, professional Executive Director to oversee all operations, functions, and activities within our company. The ideal candidate will have the skills and confidence needed to be the face of the organization, shouldering the responsibility of providing company-wide strategic direction and implementing a progressive vision for the future. We believe that an excellent Executive Director is one who can influence and inspire. She/he/they are able to awaken in others the desire to lead, motivate, and create a corporate culture that is value-driven. Applicants should have impeccable communication skills and take a holistic approach to organizational management/oversight of operations. We are looking for someone to lead our team to success whose goal is to inspire others and lead by example, enabling the company to fully realize its mission and reach its maximum potential.

Requirements

  • University or College degree in a related field, such as law, social work, human resources, finance, marketing, management or leadership, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to healthcare, behavioral health or addiction treatment.
  • Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to voluntary sector organizations, including employment standards, human rights, occupational health and safety, charities, taxation, CPP, EI, and health coverage.
  • Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of the organization.
  • Knowledge of human resources management
  • Knowledge of financial management
  • Knowledge of project management

The Executive Director should demonstrate competence in some or all the following:

  • Problem-solving: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, make recommendations, and resolve the problem.
  • Strategic thinking: Assesses options and actions based on trends and conditions in the environment and the organizations vision and values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies aiming to promote the organizations mission and voice
  • Create complete business plans for the attainment of goals and objectives set by the board of directors
  • Build an effective team of leaders by providing guidance and coaching to subordinate managers
  • Ensure adherence of the organizations daily activities and long-term plans to established policies and legal guidelines
  • Direct and oversee investments and fundraising efforts
  • Forge and maintain relations of trust with shareholders, partners and external authorities
  • Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
  • Review reports by subordinate managers to acquire understanding of the organizations financial and non-financial position
  • Devise remedial actions for any identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary

Pay: $100,000 - $150,000 per year

Schedule: M-F; 9am-5pm; weekend availability

  • Substance Use Disorder: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • LPCC-S or LISW-S license in Tennessee (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Knoxville, TN: Relocate before starting work (Required)
