Electrical Estimator Responsibilities:This is an on-site position

  • Prepare of project bids, gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints and related documents.
  • Compute costs by performing take-off, analyzing labor, material and time requirements.
  • Provide critical support to estimating and project management by updating all estimating and design-build projects, working with owner/developer/architect for bid to companies.
  • Attend meetings with project architects/customer as needed to assist with unresolved problems and ensure adequate coordination is happening to ensure accurate bid documents.
  • Help monitor design scope for changes affecting budget or schedule; identifies cause and advises customer as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of value engineering concept and knowledge of electrical code, building codes and standards.
  • Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Accubid.
  • Exceptional organization skills and project/program management.
  • Attention to detail, self-reliant, ability to balance workload, professional & positive attitude!

Additional Skills & Abilities:

  • Two-year college degree or training; or equivalent experience within the construction industry
  • Experience bidding industrial work
  • 5 years Architectural, Engineering, or Construction field, performing preconstruction efforts and/or preparing proposal/qualification statements
