GTG Traffic Signals is Hiring a Project Estimator Near Marietta, GA

Job Title: Estimator

GTG Traffic Signals is a traffic signal company who offers a diverse array of services, including Traffic Signal Installation and Maintenance, Intersection Modification, Traffic Signal Loop Installation, Video and Radar Detection Systems Installation, and CCTV Camera Systems Installation. We are looking for an Estimator to join our team and provide accurate estimates for our projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the traffic signals industry and be able to accurately assess the cost of materials, labor, and other related expenses. The successful candidate will also be able to review plans and specifications, analyze data, and create detailed reports. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing team and make a real impact on our organization.

This position is responsible for providing accurate full-service estimating and planning services to our customers. This position includes working with State DOTs, municipalities, private contractors.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Apply design and construction knowledge in the preparation of construction estimates for installation, replacement, and upgrading of traffic signals, street lighting, roadway signage and sign structures, and other DOT-related items.
  • Analyze construction challenges and offer effective and efficient resolutions promptly while working on multiple projects.
  • Communicate well with all internal team members, government representatives, and private customers.
  • Interface with customers and perform pre-bid site visits needed to gather critical information/data.
  • Use in-house construction estimating software.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and construction spec. requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional extra hours to support clients and deadlines.
  • Focus on ensuring that we provide thorough and accurate bids.
