GSP Companies is Hiring a Fulfillment Specialist 1st Shift Near Clearwater, FL

Job Summary:

The Fulfillment Specialist holds a Leadership Position within the Fulfillment department. This position is a hands on production worker and is also responsible for pulling orders and assisting in the set-up and preparation of orders. Coordinating the work flow between all areas of GSP, ensuring daily priorities are met, staging pull lines for the next day's task assignments, communicating with AM's on any issues pertaining to their individual clients, pre-pulling items to expedite the next day pull lines. The Fulfillment Specialist will assign tasks as necessary to ensure an efficient pull and pack, ensure deadlines are met for shipping and analyze packaging procedures for quality as well as cost. The Fulfillment Specialist is able to perform in all areas of the Fulfillment department as required to maintain work flow. The Fulfillment Specialist will be responsible for the work load of approximately 20 pull line employees and will manage hours required to meet work load.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report any issues or problems relating to signage to management
  • Maintain all safety and cleanliness standards
  • Maintain accurate reports of task/pulls as assigned
  • Manage flow of work from other departments to Fulfillment, and ensure all priorities and goals of the department met and understood
  • Pass instructions and directions on to Team Leaders
  • Interact with AM's via email or verbal communication
  • Aide in any area of the Fulfillment work flow as needed
  • Order all supplies required to complete pull including hardware and packing materials
  • Utilize forklift as needed

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail, and is results driven
  • Ability to give and take instruction and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage large workload, while producing quality work in a fast-pace environment with interruptions and deadlines
  • Knowledgeable in basic math, fractions and percentage
  • Ability to pass a basic skills test
  • Ability to communicate (Read, speak, write, understand) in English
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Available for weekend work shifts & overtime as needed
  • Safety conscious with ability to perform job functions in a safe manner
  • Ability to work alone and under minimal supervision
  • Ability to build effective relationships, showing leadership ability
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to client and internal problems and challenges
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to contribute to building a strong and positive team spirit as well as align with GSP values

Physical demands:

  • PC/Keyboard: Position requires work on computers, using keyboards and viewing monitor
  • Standing: Standing for lengthy periods of time
  • Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (Includes upward pulling) of up to 50 lbs
  • Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear
  • Depth Perception: Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are
