GSE Workforce Solutions is Hiring a Superintendent Near Phoenix, AZ
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND BASIC DUTIES
- Oversee, manage supervise and perform a variety of functions associated with the delivery of successful HVAC, piping and plumbing projects and the career development of the field and shop personnel.
- Oversee and assist in development of procedures to increase effectiveness on overall division and estimated job profits.
- Lead development of division – define and/or redefine roles, responsibilities, goals, and performance management for field, shop, and warehouse personnel.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, quality, and proactive improvement.
- Enhance internal communication of entire division and organization including other departments within.
- Participate in scheduled meetings to inform management and peers of issues and progress.
- Coordinates with purchasing to maintain material levels and ensure orders are placed when necessary.
- Responsible for reviewing projects, controlling job cost, and ensuring job profitability.
- Responsible to make sure Foreman are reviewing submittals for accuracy.
- Oversee department’s turnover process for project sold from the estimating department.
- Provide continued development of customer relationships.
- Follow the guidelines of the Career Development Program as it relates to field and shop employees including job descriptions, evaluations and training and advancement opportunities.
- Ensure all company policies are enforced, followed and any discrepancies reported.
- Develop and maintain consistent pre-plans for all projects.
- Provide timely input and maintain current and long-term labor forecasts.
- Review job cost reports weekly to manage project profitability.
- Responsible for Quality Control and timely and consistent project closeout.
- Responsible for Project Punch List closeout.
- Ensure all internal procedures and policies are being utilized and followed.
- Should act as a Safety Officer while on project work sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must possess or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date, a Journeyman’s License in a related field.
- Management of trade related Field Construction.
- 3 years of related experience at superintendent level or above.
