Position:Shipping and Receiving Loader

FLSA Exemption:Non-Exempt

Location: McDonough, GA

Status: Full-time

Reports to: Site Management

Summary of Position:The Shipping and Receiving Loader is responsible for loading and unloading steel tools properly using various tactics such as pallets, crates, product bins, etc., as well as entering necessary details in SAP and keeping proper documentation for each tool coming and going. He/she may provide back up support to the shop floor or general office as needed.

Essential Duties:

• Schedule trucks and create SAP shippers as trucks come and make paperwork and produce any documents needed for items leaving the building.
• Communicates out immediately any new shipments received to verify necessary work order data has been entered in the SAP system.
• Package and prep, load, and unload trucks.
• Review job QC Forms of shipping tools to ensure accuracy and completeness and bring issues to production managers attention to address.
• Responsible for ensuring tools are properly secured to prevent damage/injury
• Responsible for examining and inspecting pallets/crates to make sure tools are shrink wrapped correctly
• Responsible for storing products with tool, in bins, on floor or shelves, according to identifying information (example: parts or loose pieces that came with tool)
• Being able to help transport tools throughout the shop manually or overhead crane and/or forklift to proper department
• Communicating with production managers, truck drivers and shop office coordinators on all tools coming and going
• Responsible for being able to read labels and make the best decision on how to properly stack and load the product into the trucks
• Making sure the proper tools match up with the documents
• Responsible for maintaining signatures on all documentation for every tool pick up
• Responsible for maintaining loading performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum to no damage and maximum safety, while being mindful of weight distribution.
• Back up to shop floor production staff when needed, as well as general office duties

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience with etching engraving and texturing
• Experience with loading and unloading steels molds is a plus
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Must be able to lift cases of various weight and sizes up to 50 lbs.

• Strong and confident on the go decision making skills
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety at all times
• Must be proactive and show initiative in taking on and completing engraving projects. –
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Prefer a two-year training certificate or Associates Degree in plastics-related subject
• 1 – 2 years experience in shipping and receiving is a plus
• Must pass a background check and drug test

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work a standard 40 hour work week with occasional overtime including weekends as a possibility
• Sitting and/or standing for an extended period of time as well as some walking, reaching, and bending within the facility.
• May lift up to 50 lbs.
• While role is stationed primarily at the Fraser, MI facility, may be needed to support the Clinton Township facility occasionally and as needed.
