Grubhub is looking for a Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2024 to join the payments platform team. The payments platform team is responsible for ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient transactions for our customers. As an intern, you will get the chance to learn from experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to building innovative payment solutions in the rapidly evolving digital marketplace.
You will collaborate on one or more projects alongside our team throughout the internship. This internship is designed to provide you with the resources and training necessary to make your summer experience impactful.
The Impact You Will Make:

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the payments platform by building highly scalable and reliable additions to the platform
• Write code and develop utilities to support and improve payment processes, leveraging your technical skills to streamline operations and enhance functionality
• Participate in testing efforts, ensuring the robustness and reliability of the payment platform
• Provide valuable insights and contribute to root cause analysis efforts, helping to identify and address issues that may impact payment processing
• Joining a development team with peers to share ideas and knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation

What You Bring to the Table:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with an expected graduation date in Summer 2024 or beyond.
• Strong communication skills that demonstrate professional judgment
• Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology such as Java, C/C
• Understanding of software engineering concepts (data structures, algorithms) and methodologies and familiarity with software testing principles
• Familiarity with database fundamentals (NoSQL experience a plus)
