We are looking for a professional and fun Lead Preschool Teacher who will support our joyful learning environment and join our team of caring teachers. We have a wonderful community of families and teachers and would love to have more amazing educators (hopefully you) join our team!

Assistant Teacher -

The Assistant Teacher, under the supervision of the Leadership Team is a full-time (40 hour/week) classroom teacher responsible for maintaining a developmentally appropriate classroom in collaboration with a Lead Teacher. The curriculum must meet the emotional, physical, cognitive and social needs of both the individual child and the group. You also should already be in the Central Background Registry and up-to-date on CPR/Food Handler's certificates when you apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in early education, child development, family studies, or a minimum of one year similar age range classroom experience required.
  • Be registered and actively enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry or be willing to do so before start date.
  • Educational philosophy and practices aligned with school mission and values.
  • Excellence in communication (oral and written) and creative problem solving.
  • Computer and digital camera skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Second language fluency a plus.
  • Current First Aid and CPR card
  • Current Oregon Food Handler’s card
  • Certificate of completion of Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Training.
  • Certificate of completion of Introduction to Childcare Health and Safety training.
  • Certificate of completion of Safe Sleep for Oregon's Infants training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
