Position: AWS Full Stack Developer (Mid-Senior Level)

Location: Alexandria, VA

Overview: Group W is seeking an AWS Full Stack Developer to support a government client in the design, build, and deployment from a non-AWS environment to AWS full stack. As part of a small, egalitarian team of developers, the successful candidate will wear multiple hats, voice their opinions confidently, and ingest critical feedback with self-correcting humility. An eagerness to acquire new knowledge and undertake broader duties is integral to success at Group W.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science (or a related field )

• Advanced level technical expertise in AWS and/or Full Stack development may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 3 years' full-stack development experience
• Experience with core AWS services and the application of best practices related to the design and deployment of security and scalability
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining web applications with Vue or REACT

• Security certification
• US Citizenship
• DoD Secret clearance (TSSCI eligibility helpful)

Preferred:

Experience with any of the following will facilitate successful collaboration and contributions across multiple Group W projects:

• Cloud-native application tools such as JavaScript, Java or Python
• Cloud-native application tools such as Docker
• NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Dynamo DB, Document DB
• GitLab or GitHub, and agile development practices
• REST API design
• Java, Python, or C
• Software design patterns, CI CD, Linux
• UI design
• AWS services-EC2, S3 Buckets, or RDS

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Use VUE or React to support wargaming applications
• Participate in client liaisons to collect and refine project requirements
• Design user interfaces and implement them to code
• Work directly with the original application architects
• Report to a manager that is invested in the ongoing success of Group W projects
• Design, develop and implement UI and back-end utilities

Salary: $100,000--$170,000 (provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
