Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin is Hiring a Provider Data Specialist Near Madison, WI

The Provider Data Specialist is responsible for research, maintenance and ownership of Provider and Network data. The position will be responsible for provider and vendor outreach and will work closely with internal staff to ensure maintenance of both internal and external provider data. The position will also work closely with internal contracting, credentialing, and quality management staff to ensure information is obtained and maintained as required by regulatory and governing bodies. The position will serve as a primary liaison for internal and external parties for maintenance and ownership of Provider and Network data. The position will collaborate and coordinate frequently with multiple business units throughout the organization. The position provides a broad range of administrative, clerical and project assistance to the Chief Compliance Officer working under general guidance and supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The incumbent knows and abides by all Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) organizational and departmental policies, sets personal standards and strives for high-quality work in completing assignments, performs job duties in a timely manner and represents the organization in a positive manner. We are better together. MINIMUM JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a business-related field, or equivalent combination of education and business experience strongly preferred.Ability to research, interpret, understand and apply technical directions, policies, laws and regulations via sound judgment and critical thinking required. Knowledge of and proven proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including extensive knowledge of Excel required. Experience with ad-hoc data analysis and comparison in Excel, specifically using functions like VLOOKUP, is strongly preferred.Ability to learn and effectively navigate multiple computer systems and software used to fulfill job responsibilities required. Experience working with requirements development for software systems is preferred, but not required.Ability to manage multiple interim initiatives, priorities and problems to achieve a larger objective required. Ability to proofread documents and forms for spelling, grammar, formatting and clarity required. Knowledge and proficiency with English punctuation, grammar and spelling required. Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail required. Fine manual dexterity required. Ability to use a keyboard extensively required.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including ability to provide telephone support to collaborate courteously and effectively with internal stakeholders, external parties, compliance and regulatory officials, practitioners, and the general public required. Ability to be culturally sensitive and work with diverse populations required.Ability to maintain organizational, personnel related and patient confidentiality required. Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA privacy requirements required.Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments required. Ability to work independently and be results oriented required. Ability to design general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, etc. required.Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, and carry up to 20 lbs regularly required.Ability to speak and listen in person and on the phone required.
