Landscaping Branch Manager

The Branch Manager of Commercial Landscape Maintenance is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their branch, this includes operations, client retention, and safety. Provides a superior level of customer relations and promotes sales and service to our external clients, guidance, and staff motivation. Review profit loss statements and branch sales goals through new business. Provides leadership, training, and supervision, and delegates day-to-day operations to the appropriate individuals. The Branch Manager reports/communicates to the Regional Manager and VP of Maintenance on a regular basis.

Details of Primary Responsibilities

Financial P&L

  • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend a financial P&L
  • Complete financial responsibility for the daily activities that affect the financial health of the branch and overall EBITDA
  • Responsible for overall Revenue growth, Gross Margin, Indirect Cost, and Net Profit
  • Make business decisions that positively influence the branch's health
  • Partner with the Regional Manager on creating yearly budgets
  • Coach/Teach/Mentor team members on how they influence the P&L on a daily base

Branch Culture Driver

  • Ability to uphold the standards and ethics of GroundsPRO
  • Always provide the branch with positive influential behavior
  • Demonstrate core values throughout the organization with clients and team members
  • Strongly encourage hiring from within the organization by building ‘bench strength’
  • Provide a positive professional atmosphere that promotes a team environment and retention
  • Always demonstrate company and brand awareness inside and outside of the organization including cross-market growth for GroundsPRO

Coach/Teach/Mentor

  • Provide instructions and leadership to all team members
  • Identify team members' strengths, and areas of improvement to promote career development
  • Empower team members to learn and grow
  • Provide clear direction and expectations and hold team members accountable
  • Cross-train when applicable to provide better bench strength
  • Implement processes and procedures (SOPs) to benefit overall organization efficiencies

Key Branch Clients

  • Each Branch has key clients that are necessary for the health of the branch
  • Support team with a higher level of consistent client connection ensuring client satisfaction
  • Sustain relationships with key clients through site inspections, budgets, and proposal presentation
  • Participate in public relations events

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle report required; able to be insured by our agent
  • 3 years’ experience managing commercial landscape maintenance daily operations
  • 3 years’ experience leading and developing crew management and laborers
  • 3 years’ experience managing customer/client relationship and sales
  • Any college or trade school in Landscape or Construction is a plus
  • A broad working knowledge of landscape installation disciplines, including irrigation systems and controllers, and the ability to perform all the positions being supervised
  • Proven leadership skills that result in safety, productivity, quality, and a positive team culture
  • Ability to consistently climb in and out of trucks and lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain the physical fitness level necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Strong work ethic and understanding of GroundsPRO’s expectations
