Not your ordinary Service Director position.
We only do recondition of cars to sell, WE OWE work after sale, and Service Contract repairs. Grote Automotive is currently a 5-store group with 4 stores in IN and 1 in IL. We are hiring a Service Director to oversee operations in our warranty and reconditioning dept. This position is the direct report from the Service Manager and Parts Manager along with the entire service operation. We are unique in that we do No Customer Pay service work. The peskiest part of service management is the customers! This job requires less customer involvement than any Service Director position around. We are currently reconditioning 150 cars monthly for this one store and will soon need to raise the bar to 250 as we add a store. Our only customer is the sales dept. We just purchased a new property right near our current location and are in the midst of a build-out. We have a basketful of benefits. We are widely negotiable on compensation. The closest to the ideal fit will be paid as needed. A salary mixed with a portion of the profits is our plan. We may consider a relocation package as well. Check out the list of items below. We have our bar set high. This location has 2 managing partners in it so the consistency is second to none. There is a lot to digest here. Responsibilities:Who is Grote Automotive? Fred Grote has been in the car business for over 25 years. He opened his 1st store in Fort Wayne, IN in 2008. Growing from 25 cars a month to 200 he opened a 2nd store in Warsaw, IN. After Great success there his 3rd store came to Rockford, IL. The 4th and 5th stores have just arrived in IN in 2022 as well. We plan to open 2 more in 2023. We opened here in Rockford in December 2020 and have been growing FAST. We specialize in solving transportation problems that most dealerships can't.
