Our busy auto parts center is looking for a savvy automotive parts manager to join our growing team of service department employees. You’ll handle everything from interfacing with service technicians to managing our extensive inventory of automotive parts. We’ll rely on you to secure the best prices while stocking inventory and striking a balance between supply and demand. Compensation:$45,000 - $60,000
Responsibilities:- Manage the parts inventory levels closely for auto repair and sales needs without delay based on projected demand and matching cost targets
- Employ strong negotiation and communication skills to secure the most competitive price for replacement parts that can yield a profitable ROI when used for repairs or retail sales
- Proactively order necessary high-quality, cost-effective parts that align with standards set forth by the auto parts department and dealership, as a whole
- Recruit and manage team members within the auto parts department
- Assist with promotions, as needed, to increase parts sales
- Source and buy parts for inventory cars
- Track cores
- Track returns
- Staff management is desired
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience in auto sales needed
- Excellent product knowledge, customer service skills, administrative skills, and organizational skills are necessary to manage inventory effectively
Who is Grote Automotive? Fred Grote has been in the car business for over 25 years. He opened his 1st store in Fort Wayne, IN in 2008. Growing from 25 cars a month to 200 he opened a 2nd store in Warsaw, IN. After Great success there his 3rd store came to Rockford, IL. The 4th and 5th stores have just arrived in IN in 2022 as well. We plan to open 1 more in 2024. We opened here in Rockford in December 2020 and have been growing FAST. We specialize in solving transportation problems that most dealerships can't.
