Position Overview:

An Apprentice Technician, under the mentorship of an experienced technician completes training and certification requirements to be able to perform vehicle maintenance and repair functions.

The Pay Range is $19.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

• You are able to perform advance maintenance ( ex. perform brake services / fluid exchanges / basic suspension work / etc….)
• You have been a lube technician for more than 2 years
• You have a sense of urgency and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• You are a reliable individual with a strong work ethic
• You are a team player who possesses a positive attitude
• You hold the quality of your work to a high standard, and details matter
• You have a sense of urgency and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• You like to learn new things and are looking for an opportunity to grow your career in the automotive industry

Essential Functions:

• Perform specific work on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and following dealership standards.
• Diagnose and repair automotive vehicle systems.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test vehicles and record findings for necessary repairs to be made.
• Keep informed of the assigned position's requirements, duties, and standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the technical and performance requirements essential to perform the position.
• Establish, maintain and fine-tune the skills and abilities required to perform the position to the standards set.
• Seek to understand and then comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Learn and demonstrate the skills and abilities of a service technician as required to complete training.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
• Authorized to work in the United States
• A minimum of 2 yearsexperience as a lube technician is required
